With "Intercity Biking" you will always have your bike or speciality bike conveniently with you even on long journeys. You can also take your bike with you over medium and long-distances on most IC, EC, trains, as well as on many EN and D trains. International transportation is also possible on numerous trains, e,g, from Austria to Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. All these trains can be easily recognised by the coloured or black bicycle symbol provided.
Due to limited space, reservation is compulsory. You will need an Intercity Biking ticket for your bike. This includes the mandatory reservation for a storage space for your bike. The Intercity Biking ticket is also valid as a Regio Biking ticket for local journeys on the day of travel. Trains with Intercity Biking can be recognised in the timetable by the bicycle symbol in a square.
